Founded in 1987 Hopkins Machinery (Trading name for Ted Hopkins Ltd & Tractor Hire Ltd) is a family owned business whose management are second and third generation family members. Specialising in new and used construction machinery sales and service.

 

We pride ourselves on the high level of service and expertise that we can offer because with nearly fourty years experience in the machinery business there is not much that we haven’t encountered and usually conquered.

 

We offer a range of new equipment from some of the leading worldwide manufactures such as Kubota, Kramer, Stihl and many more.

 

Also a wide range of used construction machinery fully serviced and repaired as required.

 

We operate from two depots, our original headquarters in Newport St. Brides Wentlooge, between Cardiff and Newport on the coast road and our Mid Wales site in Brecon. Our workshop facilities in both depots enable us to back all our customers to the highest possible standards. In total we have over 15 Acres of yard space with large workshops with a machine shop, welding/fabrication facilities and an in house hydraulic hose facility in our Brecon Depot. This is further supported by our vast parts and storage areas with permanently manned parts and service counters.

 

We have a modern fleet of onsite service vehicles fully equipped with the latest diagnostic equipment and offer a little more than the usual onsite service with capabilities, and air conditioning repairs.

 

All of our engineers are fully trained on the products that we sell and regularly attend factory training courses to gain expertise on the latest products.

We have our own low loaders and plant transporters which help to increase our efficiency and service back up.

 

However, what makes it all work is the team of dedicated staff and our management who accumulatively have over 200 year’s experience in the machinery and plant industry.
